About Me & Holistic Thriving Cats
My Story
Hi, I’m Jada, the founder of Holistic Thriving Cats.
This work was born from a deeply personal journey with my two boys, Migo and Chuck. They are the reason I do what I do, and they remain at the heart of everything I teach.
I adopted my cats during a period of my life when I was chronically ill myself. I had been unwell since childhood, navigating persistent symptoms, countless appointments, and years of searching for answers that never fully came. Despite seeing numerous specialists, I was often left without clarity, support, or a sense of direction. That experience shaped me, especially the feeling of being unheard while struggling in a body that did not feel safe.
When my cats began facing their own health challenges, a familiar fear surfaced. I was afraid of placing them into the same system that had failed me. They were not just pets to me. They were family, companions, and a source of light during some of the hardest years of my life. Protecting them became deeply intertwined with my own healing.
As I began supporting Migo through chronic urinary issues, something shifted. Using the same whole-body framework that I teach today, his symptoms resolved. That experience opened my eyes to what was possible when we stop isolating symptoms and start supporting the body as an interconnected system. Later, when he was diagnosed with arthritis, I once again committed to addressing the root contributors. Over time, his arthritis fully resolved without the need for the ongoing pharmaceuticals our vets told us were the only option.
Shortly after, we adopted Chuck. He came to us with a chronic cough that was repeatedly misdiagnosed. Eventually, we learned he had cancer. We were advised to consider euthanasia that same day. I chose to keep searching for answers and supportive options. Today, Chuck is still with us. He is still healing and largely thriving. He continues to teach me daily about resilience, adaptability, and the body’s innate intelligence.
Through these experiences, I saw clearly that feline health is rarely about one organ, one diagnosis, or one solution. It is about terrain, environment, nervous system regulation, nutrition, emotional safety, and the cumulative load a body carries over time.
Migo and Chuck are more than my inspiration. They are my teachers. Migo, a deeply sensitive soul, was my constant companion during my lowest moments. Chuck, a fighter in every sense, showed me what it looks like to keep going even when the odds feel heavy. They shaped my philosophy, my work, and the way I support others.
Holistic Thriving Cats is the space I wish existed when I felt lost and overwhelmed, trying to help my own two cats. It exists to offer grounded guidance, education, and support to other cat parents who know there has to be a better way forward.
When I’m not creating resources or working with my kitty clients, you’ll usually find me reading or writing with one of my cats curled up on my lap (or very insistently nearby). I love decompressing by stepping into alternate worlds—both the ones I read and the ones I create on the page. I also enjoy slow walks outdoors, afternoon naps by the pool, and beach days that remind me to soften, reset, and reconnect with nature.
My Mission
My mission is to help cats truly thrive, not just survive.
I support feline health through a whole-body, root-focused approach that honors biology, environment, emotional well-being, and the body’s ability to heal when properly supported. My goal is to make holistic feline wellness approachable, grounded, and accessible without fear-based narratives or one-size-fits-all solutions.
Just as importantly, I support the cat parent. Education, empowerment, and emotional support are core to my work. No one should feel ashamed, behind, or alone while trying to help their cat feel better.
My Values
Whole-Body Perspective
I view the cat as an integrated system. Mind, body, environment, and lived experience all matter.
Education Over Dependency
My goal is not to create reliance, but confidence. I want you to understand the reasoning behind recommendations so you can advocate for your cat with clarity.
Compassion First
Every cat parent is doing the best they can with the information they have. This work is rooted in understanding, not judgment.
Discernment and Balance
There is a time and place for many approaches. I value thoughtful, intentional care rather than extremes or rigid ideologies.
Respect for the Individual
No two cats are the same. Support should be adaptive, personalized, and responsive rather than copied and pasted.
Many of the clients I work with have already done everything right. They have seen specialists, run tests, and tried medications, supplements, and holistic modalities, yet their cat is still struggling.
What is often missing is not effort, but integration.
Holistic Thriving Cats focuses on identifying patterns rather than chasing isolated symptoms. I look at how nutrition, hydration, environmental exposures, stress, immune signaling, and emotional health interact over time. This approach allows us to address why symptoms are happening, not just manage them temporarily.
What also sets this work apart is the level of support provided to the human behind the cat. Healing journeys are rarely linear. Questions, doubts, and emotions are part of the process. I prioritize connection, communication, and ongoing guidance so you never feel like you are navigating this alone.
This work matters because cats are resilient, intelligent beings whose bodies are constantly communicating. When we learn how to listen and how to support the full ecosystem they live within, real change becomes possible.
